DEADWIND PASS — Beneath a sundered sky atop the crown of Medivh’s tower, members of the League repelled a burning, demonic barrage to cast down Prince Malchezzar, the Usurper of Karazhan.

After months of cutting through the tower’s undead, demonic, corporeal and ethereal denizens, a stunned League force made their final ascent Sunday, and with little hope of triumph, exorcised the Legion’s presence by ending the powerful Eredar’s reign.

“WOO-ZOMG-FUC-SWEE-YEAH!” came the collective cry from human, elf and dwarf.

But victory did not come without a price.

Plagued by logistical problems and a withering defense, half of the 20-strong force was unaccounted for by day’s end. Given the tower’s time- and space-shaping abilities, League arcanists speculate the group could yet survive inside a parallel reality.

With the tower’s demonic power eliminated, questions linger about its unexplored recesses. What treasures or terrors await behind those suspicous bookcases? What of the Nether dragon sighted by Violet Eye operatives? And what of the charred fragment of bone from Arcanagos of the Blue Flight?

Moments after Malchezzar’s demise, Tyrin, League paladin, was seen already mapping a route to the Aldor Rise and his cache of uncut gems as he tucked a shining helm into his pack.
